Sonoma Lavender Fields to Beat the Gloom

Suddenly it’s summer and we’re feeling gloomy with all this fog surrounding our side of the San Francisco Bay. So we looked for a savvy way to handle the May gray, June gloom, and July no sky — and found it in a drive north to Sonoma’s Lavender fields.

We just wanted a day to relax, breathe the fresh lavender-scented air and soak up the sun. Need a lavender fix like we do?

Here are a few purple places to get lost in this summer. Take advantage of U-Cut fresh lavender opportunities and take home some hand-crafted lavender products, like lavender lip balms, body lotions, candles, essential oils, gifts, sachets, bouquets.

But check first before you head out. Most are open only during the summer season, although some have online shops open all year long.
